The device sharing feature lets you collaborate with trusted partners, giving them the ability to control your devices or request access to theirs. This creates a secure connection between users while maintaining privacy and control.
Creating a New Share Request
Navigate to your Settings page and find the Partners section. When you're ready to connect with someone, click the "Create Invitation" button in the top right corner. You'll be asked to enter their email or username, and choose whether you want to give them access to your devices or request access to theirs.
For privacy and security reasons, we won't confirm whether the user exists in our system. Make sure you have the correct spelling of their email or username to ensure the invitation reaches them.
Managing Your Connections
Once you've established connections with partners, you'll see them listed in your Partners section. Each connection shows a helpful indicator of the relationship:
An upward arrow (↗️) means you've given them control of your devices

A downward arrow (↙️) shows they've given you access to their devices

A two-way arrow (↔️) indicates mutual sharing

You can manage these connections at any time through the menu next to each partner's name. If you need to end a sharing arrangement, simply select "Remove Partner" from this menu.
Responding to Invitations
When someone invites you to share device access, you'll receive both an email notification and see the invitation in your Settings page under "Pending Invitations". Take your time to review the request - you can accept it to establish the connection, or decline if you're not comfortable with the sharing arrangement.
Best Practices
Device sharing works best when built on trust and clear communication. Before sharing access, make sure you know and trust the person you're connecting with. Remember that you maintain control of your sharing preferences and can adjust or remove access whenever needed.
