Welcome to our Leaderboard, where we turn your hard work into something worth bragging about (or crying over if you’re at the bottom). Here's the lowdown on how you can go from being a Bronze newbie to flaunting that Diamond status.
The Basics
It’s All About Matches and Ranks
- Think of Matches as your battleground, hosting 30 players.
- Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to outscore others in your Rank. Ranks go from "I just got here" Bronze to "Look at me now" Diamond.
- You can move through the ranks by earning Points. To learn more about points read that article 😊.
Moving On Up (Or Down)
- Climbing the ranks is like a reality TV show; some stay, some go. Here’s who moves up:
- Bronze: the Top 20 (basically everyone but Alex who forgot to play)
- Silver: Top 15 (getting tighter, eh?)
- Gold: Top 10 (now it’s serious)
- Sapphire to Amethyst: Top 7 (elite squad vibes)
- Pearl to Diamond: Top 5 (if you’re here, start prepping your victory speech)
- Bottom dwellers (25th to 30th), it’s a step down for you. Maybe it’s time to reconsider your strategy (or blame the Wi-Fi).
Here's a table outlining each rank along with the promotion and demotion zones to help keep track of how you can move up or down the leaderboard:
Rank | Promotion Zone (Top Positions) | Demotion Zone (Bottom Positions) |
Bronze | Top 20 | None (Can't go lower) |
Silver | Top 15 | 25th to 30th |
Gold | Top 10 | 25th to 30th |
Sapphire | Top 7 | 25th to 30th |
Ruby | Top 7 | 25th to 30th |
Emerald | Top 7 | 25th to 30th |
Amethyst | Top 7 | 25th to 30th |
Pearl | Top 7 | 25th to 30th |
Obsidian | Top 5 | 25th to 30th |
Diamond | Top 5 | 25th to 30th |
This table should help you understand at a glance where the critical positions are for moving up to a higher rank or risking a drop to a lower one. Keep your eye on the prize, and try not to find yourself in those demotion zones!
Timing is Everything
- New competitions kick off Sundays at midnight GMT. Perfect for night owls and early birds alike.
- Join a match by earning points. If you’re early, you get to be the welcoming committee in an open match. Be nice, they're scared.
Keep It Cool
Here’s a pro tip: don’t choke. Whether you’re aiming for the top or just trying not to fall to the bottom, remember, it’s just a game and you are wonderful!
So, What Now?
Jump in, earn points, and try not to let the competition get to you. Whether you’re shooting for Diamond or just happy not to be Bronze, there’s a place for you here. Just remember, it’s all fun and games until someone ends up in Bronze... again. Then, it’s hilarious.
