# Hiding the Remaining Time

> Add mystery to your lock session by hiding the countdown timer from view

The Chastity Lockbox includes a "Hide Display Time" feature that conceals how much time remains in your session. This adds an element of uncertainty and anticipation to your experience.

## What "Hide Display Time" Does

When you enable "Hide Display Time," the remaining lock time becomes hidden across all locations:

* **Dashboard Homepage** — Your main dashboard won't show the remaining time
* **Lockbox Homepage** — The lockbox-specific page hides the countdown
* **Lockbox Activity Table** — The activity log omits remaining time
* **Public Voting Table** — Voters cannot see the remaining time
* **Physical Device Display** — The lockbox screen hides the countdown
* **Vote Notifications** — Time adjustments from votes display without specific durations

<Info>
  Your lock session continues to function normally even when the time is hidden. The countdown still runs in the background—you just can't see it.
</Info>
