## Quick reference

### Lock session controls

During an active session, you can:

* **View status** — Check remaining time, lock state, and connectivity on the device display
* **Take breaks** — Pause your session temporarily (if enabled by your keyholder)
* **Emergency unlock** — Access your key immediately (triggers a 24-hour lockout)

<Note>
  Your keyholder controls which features are available during your session. Some options may be disabled based on your session settings.
</Note>

### When you need help

If something isn't working as expected:

1. Check the [status icons](./symbols) to diagnose connectivity or lock issues
2. Use the [emergency unlock](./emergency-unlock) if you need immediate access
3. Visit the [support section](../support) for troubleshooting guides

<Warning>
  Always familiarize yourself with the emergency unlock procedures before starting a session. Having a backup plan ensures you can access your key in any situation.
