0:00 All right, now we’re going to take you through the process step by step of connecting your Deepthroat Trainer to Wi-Fi.0:07 This is required so that you can upload results and download trainer settings. I’ve started a local Wi-Fi network called Trainer Setup.0:27 On my phone, I’m going to connect to the network. going to connect to that network called Trainer Setup, which will launch a captive Wi-Fi portal, similar to what you’d experience at a library or coffee shop.0:46 I’ll hit Configure Wi-Fi, and then I’ll choose a 2.4 GHz network as my default network. Here, I’m going to choose my network, Treehouse4G, and I will enter a password, so excuse me while I do that.0:59 Perfect. Perfect. Now I’ll hit Save. The Deepthroat Trainer will now attempt to connect using these credentials, and if it works, it will restart.1:07 There it is. to the internet, and will download settings. Perfect. You’re all done.

Getting your trainer online

Your Deepthroat Trainer needs a Wi-Fi connection to upload your training results and download new settings. This guide walks you through the setup process.
Your trainer only supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks. Make sure you connect to a 2.4 GHz network, not a 5 GHz network. Many routers broadcast both—look for networks without “5G” in the name.
1

Power on and enter Wi-Fi setup

Turn on your Deepthroat Trainer. When you see the screen displaying “press button to start or hold to launch settings page,” hold the button to enter Wi-Fi setup mode.
The “settings page” on the device refers specifically to Wi-Fi configuration. Training settings (templates, modes, etc.) are managed through your dashboard, not on the device.
2

Connect to the trainer's setup network

Your trainer creates a temporary Wi-Fi hotspot called Trainer Setup. On your phone or computer, open Wi-Fi settings and connect to this network.
Your phone will warn you there’s “no internet” on this network—this is expected. When prompted, tap Stay connected or Connect anyway. Do not disconnect when you see this warning.
This is a local network created by your trainer—it won’t provide internet access. You’re connecting directly to the trainer to configure it.
3

Open the setup portal

After connecting, a captive portal page should open automatically. If it doesn’t appear within a few seconds, open any web browser and go to:
http://192.168.4.1
This works similarly to Wi-Fi login pages at coffee shops or hotels. If you have mobile data enabled, try disabling it temporarily—some phones prioritize mobile data and won’t load the portal.
4

Configure your Wi-Fi network

Tap Configure Wi-Fi to see a list of available networks. Select your home Wi-Fi network from the list.Remember to choose a 2.4 GHz network if your router broadcasts multiple frequencies.
5

Enter your Wi-Fi password

Enter your network password when prompted. Double-check for typos—incorrect passwords are the most common cause of connection issues.
6

Save and connect

Tap Save to store your credentials. Your trainer will attempt to connect to your network. If successful, it will automatically restart.
7

Verify the connection

Once your trainer restarts, it will connect to the internet and download any available settings or updates.
Your Deepthroat Trainer is now online and ready to sync your training data.
If the captive portal doesn’t appear automatically after connecting to the Trainer Setup network:
  1. Ignore the “no internet” warning — Your phone may show warnings like “Connected without internet” or “This network has no internet access.” This is expected. Tap Stay connected or Connect anyway.
  2. Open the portal manually — Open any web browser and go to http://192.168.4.1
  3. Disable mobile data — If the portal still won’t load, turn off mobile data (cellular) on your phone. Some phones prioritize mobile data and won’t route traffic through the Trainer Setup network.
  4. Try a different device — If your phone still won’t show the portal, try using a laptop or tablet instead.
Do not disconnect from the Trainer Setup network when your phone warns about no internet. This warning is normal—the trainer’s network is only for configuration, not internet access.
  • Verify you selected a 2.4 GHz network, not 5 GHz
  • Double-check your password for typos
  • Move the trainer closer to your router
  • Restart the setup process by holding the button again
