Connect OSSM to Wi-Fi

Connect OSSM to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network with the web controller or RADR setup portal and verify the online state.

Wi-Fi enables firmware updates. It is not required for wired local control. You need the network name and password for a 2.4 GHz network.

Option 1: web controller

  1. Power on and home OSSM.
  2. Open the OSSM web controller in desktop Chrome or Edge.
  3. Select Connect, choose the OSSM, and select Pair.
  4. Open Wi-Fi Settings, enter the network name and password, then select Save & Connect.

Option 2: RADR

  1. Connect RADR to OSSM, open Settings, and select Wi-Fi Settings.
  2. Scan the QR code or join the temporary RADR Setup network shown on screen.
  3. In the setup portal, select Configure Wi-Fi.
  4. Choose the 2.4 GHz network, enter its password, and save.

Success

The Wi-Fi indicator shows a green status and remains connected after a restart. A yellow status means the network connected but the online service did not; red means no Wi-Fi connection.

If setup fails, confirm 2.4 GHz is enabled, re-enter the password, move closer to the router, and see OSSM troubleshooting.
