Power On and Home OSSM
Connect the supplied 24 V power unit, keep clear of startup movement, and confirm OSSM homes successfully.
Outcome: OSSM has completed homing and is waiting with motion controls at zero. Allow about two minutes.
Before you connect power
- Read OSSM safety and emergency stop.
- Stabilise the frame and clear the full rail travel path.
- Set controller speed and depth to zero.
- Use the supplied 24 V, 4 A DC power supply. Do not substitute an unverified supply.
Connect the barrel plug to OSSM

Keep hands and objects outside the rail path before making this connection.
Observe homing from a safe distance

The rail moves slowly to measure its endpoints. Do not restrain or touch it.
Success
Homing finishes without obstruction or unusual noise, the status LED remains on, and the carriage is stationary. Continue to choose and test a controller.
If homing does not finish
Disconnect power. Check for an obstruction, loose belt, damaged cable, unstable frame, or attachment in the travel path. Do not repeatedly power-cycle a jammed or noisy machine; use OSSM troubleshooting or contact support.
