Welcome to Chastity Lockbox. This guide walks you through the first setup steps: charging the device, connecting to Wi-Fi, pairing it with the dashboard, starting a lock, and knowing where the safety options live.

For the best experience, use the online dashboard to configure locks, invite keyholders, and manage sessions. You can still lock and track time offline directly on the device.
Before You Start
- A USB-C cable that supports data transfer, not just charging
- Access to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network
- Optional: a dashboard account at dashboard.researchanddesire.com
Turn On Your Lockbox
- Connect your Lockbox to power using the included USB-C cable.
- Leave it charging for at least 30 minutes before first use.
- Press the Enter/Lock button on the right side to wake the device.
- Confirm that you can see the startup screen or main menu.
Success
If you see the main menu, your Lockbox is ready for Wi-Fi setup.
Warning
If your device does not turn on after charging for 30 minutes, see the troubleshooting guide.
Connect To Wi-Fi
If you are using automatic Bluetooth pairing in Chrome or Edge, Wi-Fi can be configured during pairing. If you are pairing manually, connect Wi-Fi first.
- On the Lockbox, go to Settings > Wi-Fi Settings.
- Scan the QR code shown on the Lockbox screen.
- Choose your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
- Enter the password and connect.
- Look for a green dot next to the Wi-Fi icon.
Warning
The Lockbox requires a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection. 5 GHz networks are not supported.

Pair With The Dashboard
Pairing lets you control locks remotely, assign a keyholder, and use dashboard features.
- Sign in at dashboard.researchanddesire.com.
- Go to Settings > Devices.
- Click Pair Lockbox.
- Use Scan for Lockbox in Chrome or Edge, or enter the pairing code shown on the Lockbox.
- Confirm that the device appears in your dashboard.

Start Your First Lock
You can start a lock on the device or from the dashboard.
- On the device, choose Lock, set the duration, and confirm.
- In the dashboard, use the Chastity Lockbox section to set the duration, breaks, and keyholder rules.

Unlocking And Safety
The device unlocks when the timer expires or when your keyholder unlocks it from the dashboard.
Tip
Keyholders can unlock at any time, regardless of the remaining timer.
If you need urgent access, press and hold the Enter/Lock button to open the menu, then select Emergency Unlock and confirm.

Emergency Unlock ends the current session immediately. Additional dashboard actions or consequences may apply depending on your settings.
If the device fails or has no power, the hardware emergency unlock is the last resort. See Emergency Unlock before using it.
