0:00 All right, now we're going to take you through the process step by step of connecting your Deepthroat Trainer to Wi-Fi. 0:07 This is required so that you can upload results and download trainer settings. On the right, I have a Deepthroat Trainer which has booted up, and I'm at the point where it says press button to start or hold to launch settings page. 0:19 I'm going to hold this button here to launch the settings page. This is starting. I've started a local Wi-Fi network called Trainer Setup. 0:27 On my phone, I'm going to connect to the network. going to connect to that network called Trainer Setup, which will launch a captive Wi-Fi portal, similar to what you'd experience at a library or coffee shop. 0:46 I'll hit Configure Wi-Fi, and then I'll choose a 2.4 GHz network as my default network. Here, I'm going to choose my network, Treehouse4G, and I will enter a password, so excuse me while I do that. 0:59 Perfect. Perfect. Now I'll hit Save. The Deepthroat Trainer will now attempt to connect using these credentials, and if it works, it will restart. 1:07 There it is. to the internet, and will download settings. Perfect. You're all done.

Getting Your Trainer Online

So you've got your Deepthroat Trainer fired up and ready to go! But before you can start uploading those impressive results and downloading new training programs, you'll need to get it connected to your Wi-Fi. Don't worry - it's easy!

Wake Up Your Trainer

First things first, power on your Deepthroat Trainer. You'll see a screen that says "press button to start or hold to launch settings page." Since we're being responsible and setting up Wi-Fi first, go ahead and hold that button down to access the settings.

Connect to the Trainer's Network

Your trainer is about to become a Wi-Fi hotspot! It'll create its own network called "Trainer Setup" - think of it as your trainer's way of saying "hey, let's chat for a minute." On your phone, head to your Wi-Fi settings and connect to this "Trainer Setup" network.

The Setup Portal

Once connected, your phone should automatically open a setup page (if it doesn't, try opening any website and it should redirect you). This is like the trainer's little control center where you can tell it all about your home network.

Pick Your Network

Tap "Configure Wi-Fi" and you'll see a list of available networks. Important note: your trainer only speaks 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, so make sure you're connecting to a 2.4 GHz network, not 5 GHz. Select your home network from the list.

Password Time

Enter your Wi-Fi password when prompted. This is the moment where your trainer learns the secret handshake to access your internet. Take your time - we've all been there with those complicated passwords.

Save and Wait

Hit "Save" and watch the magic happen! Your trainer will attempt to connect using the credentials you just provided. If everything goes smoothly (and it usually does), your trainer will restart itself and connect to the internet.

Once your trainer restarts and connects successfully, it'll automatically download any available settings and updates. Now you're ready to start training and uploading those results to show off your progress!
