Bounce Mode is excellent for building coordination and muscle memory. If you’re just getting started, master Repetition Mode first.
Prerequisites
- Your trainer is paired with your dashboard account. See Pairing your Trainer.
- Your trainer is connected to Wi‑Fi so results upload automatically. See Connect to Wi‑Fi.
- You’ve selected a toy and completed calibration (if required for your firmware stream).
How Bounce Mode works
- A moving target on your display guides depth and pace in both directions.
- You insert to match the target depth, then withdraw at the same controlled pace.
- Each complete cycle (insert + withdraw) counts as one repetition.
- Accuracy is calculated from how closely your movement matches the target in both phases.
Understanding the LED feedback
During training, the LED strip provides real-time feedback on your position:| LED Color | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Green | You’re in the target zone — maintain this pace |
| Yellow | You’re ahead of the target — slow down |
| Red | You’re behind the target — catch up |
Unlike Repetition where the withdrawal is quick, Bounce evaluates both directions equally. Keep the LED green through the entire movement cycle.
Run a Bounce session
Choose or create a template
From the dashboard, open a training template configured for Bounce Mode. You can also browse community templates under Shareable Templates.
Set targets (speed, depth, reps)
Pick a comfortable speed and depth target, then set your repetition count. Since Bounce requires control in both directions, start with a slower speed than you’d use for Repetition.
Prepare and calibrate
Attach your toy securely. If calibration is available, run it now so the trainer knows the toy tip position and your current comfortable depth.
Start training and match the target
Begin the session. Move down to the indicated depth following the on-screen target, then move back up at the same controlled pace. Keep your motion smooth and symmetrical.
You’re on track when the LED stays green through both the insertion and withdrawal phases.
Finish and review your results
When you complete the set, your grade and points upload to the dashboard. See Checking Your Results to review trends and leaderboard placement.
Scoring and points
Bounce Mode uses a scoring system similar to Repetition, but evaluates both directions of movement equally:- Scoring is based on time in the target zone for both insertion and withdrawal
- Formula:
Time in Zone ÷ Active Time - Your score reflects how well you maintain controlled, rhythmic motion throughout
Poor control during withdrawal hurts your score just as much as poor control during insertion. Practice symmetrical movements for the best results.
Segment parameters
| Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
| Target (reps) | Number of complete cycles to perform |
| Start Position | Rest position (furthest from sensor) |
| End Position | Target depth (closest position) |
| Training Speed | Target speed in both directions (mm/s) |
| Target Window | Acceptable range around target position |
| Depth Increase | Progressive depth adjustment per rep (optional) |
Best practices
- Start slow: Begin with a slower speed than Repetition — controlling both directions is harder.
- Breathe rhythmically: Match your breathing to your movement cycle.
- Use consistent pressure: Keep force even in both directions.
- Build gradually: Increase speed only after you can maintain accuracy at slower speeds.
- Consider Hands‑Free Mode: Enable it in your template (Ultra) for uninterrupted sessions.
Bounce vs. Repetition
| Aspect | Repetition | Bounce |
|---|---|---|
| Insertion | Controlled, gradual | Controlled, gradual |
| Withdrawal | Quick return | Controlled, gradual |
| Scoring | Insertion-focused | Both directions equal |
| Difficulty | Easier to start | More challenging |
| Best for | Building rhythm | Building coordination |
Troubleshooting
My score drops during withdrawal
My score drops during withdrawal
This is the key challenge of Bounce Mode. Focus on making your withdrawal just as controlled as your insertion. Don’t rush back to the start position.
The target seems to move unpredictably
The target seems to move unpredictably
The target moves at a constant pace in both directions. If it seems erratic, you may be out of sync. Reset your rhythm by slowing down and matching the target deliberately.
I keep getting yellow/red during direction changes
I keep getting yellow/red during direction changes
Direction changes are the hardest part. Practice smooth turnarounds without pausing or jerking. The transition should be fluid.
