Error E‑LOCK‑13 means the R+D dashboard briefly refused your Lockbox's sign‑in because it received too many requests from your network. Waiting a minute and retrying usually fixes it.
On screen: "The dashboard is receiving too many requests from your network. Wait a minute, then retry, or skip for now."
The dashboard limits how often devices on one network can sign in. Every device behind the same internet connection counts toward that limit, so it is easier to reach on shared networks.
Common causes
- Shared network — Hotels, offices, dormitories and some mobile carriers put many people behind one internet address
- Several devices starting at once — Restarting more than one Lockbox on the same network at the same time
- Repeated restarts — Restarting the Lockbox many times in a row during setup
How to fix it
Step 1: Wait, then retry
Wait about a minute, then press the right button to Retry. The limit resets on its own within a minute.
Step 2: Start one device at a time
If you have more than one Lockbox on this network, finish setting up one before you turn on the next.
Step 3: Try a different network
If the error keeps returning on a shared network, connect the Lockbox to a phone hotspot or your home network instead.
Info
The left button (Skip) starts the connection check again from Wi‑Fi. After setup is complete, the Lockbox doesn't stop on this screen: it keeps working offline and retries the sign‑in in the background.
Confirm it’s fixed
Success
The Lockbox continues setup, and the dashboard shows the device online after a brief delay.
