E‑LOCK‑14: Dashboard Sign‑In Failed

Error E‑LOCK‑14 means your Lockbox joined Wi‑Fi but could not finish signing in to the R+D dashboard after three attempts. Until it signs in, it can't receive commands from the dashboard.

On screen: "The Lockbox could not finish signing in to the dashboard. Check your internet connection, then retry, or skip for now."

Before the Lockbox connects to the R+D messaging server, it signs in to the dashboard to get its connection details. This error means that sign‑in did not complete, so the Lockbox never tried the messaging server.

Common causes

  • Slow or unstable internet — The dashboard's answer did not arrive in time
  • Network filtering — Hotel, office, school and VPN networks can slow down or block the connection
  • Temporary dashboard problem — The dashboard could not complete the request

How to fix it

Step 1: Check the internet connection

On a phone or laptop connected to the same Wi‑Fi network, open dashboard.researchanddesire.com. If it doesn't load, restart your router and wait 2 minutes.

Step 2: Retry

Press the right button to Retry. The left button (Skip) starts the connection check again from Wi‑Fi.

Step 3: Try a different network

Connect the Lockbox to a phone hotspot. If it signs in there, your usual network is slowing down or blocking the connection. See Connectivity Troubleshooting.

Info

After setup is complete, the Lockbox doesn't stop on this screen: it keeps working offline and retries the sign‑in in the background.

Confirm it’s fixed

Success

The Lockbox continues setup, and the dashboard shows the device online after a brief delay.
