Setup and Mounting Questions

Answers for mounting, startup, pairing, toy assignment, and first calibration.

Where should I start?

Use the first-session checklist. It places safety and mounting before pairing, toy setup, calibration, and training.

Which surfaces work for suction cups?

Use a clean, smooth, non-porous surface such as glass, acrylic, or glazed tile. A surface is unsuitable if a firm pull makes a cup lift or slide. Texture, grout, paint, dust, and residue can prevent a reliable seal.

Where is the Trainer ID?

It appears near the top of the display during startup. Restart the Trainer if it passes before you can copy it. See Pairing.

Pairing succeeded. Why is the Trainer offline?

Pairing links the hardware to an account; it does not provide network credentials. Complete Wi-Fi setup.

Why does the installed toy matter in the dashboard?

The selected toy supplies context for position and calibration. The installed toy and selected toy must match. See Toy setup.

When should I recalibrate?

Calibrate when the device prompts, after changing the physical toy, after changing the mounting geometry, or after resetting a toy’s calibration. Calibration should reflect a comfortable controlled range, not the greatest possible range.

What confirms setup is complete?

The mount passes a pull test, the charging cable is disconnected, the paired device appears in the correct account, the online check succeeds when Wi-Fi is required, the installed and selected toys match, and calibration accepts both positions.
