When you enable Public Link, your lock appears in the public voting directory by default. This makes it discoverable by anyone browsing the directory. If you prefer more control over who can find your lock, you can opt out of the directory while still sharing via direct link.

Directory visibility options

Your lock is fully discoverable:
  • Appears in the public voting directory
  • Direct link sharing works
  • Anyone can discover and vote on your lock

Configure your visibility settings

1

Open lock settings

Navigate to Chastity LockboxSettings in your dashboard.
2

Enable public link

Turn on the Public Link toggle to activate link sharing.
3

Access visibility options

Click the Settings icon (⚙️) next to the Public Link toggle.
4

Opt out of directory listing

Toggle Show in Public Directory off to hide your lock from the public directory.
Your visibility setting is applied when you start the lock session. Changes made after starting won’t affect the current session.

Important considerations

  • Direct links always work — Regardless of your directory visibility setting, anyone with your direct link can access and vote on your lock.
  • Functionality remains unchanged — This setting only affects discoverability, not how the lock itself operates.
  • Privacy through obscurity — Opting out means people can’t stumble upon your lock, but it’s not password-protected.
