This video shows how to mount the backboard, attach the trainer, and start a session. You’ll see how the distance indicator on the screen responds as you move closer or farther, and how to begin a basic training mode. Follow the steps below for a written, step‑by‑step setup.

Welcome

Welcome to the Deepthroat Trainer (DTT). In a few minutes you’ll mount the device, pair it to your dashboard, and run your first training session.
If you’re brand new, begin with the lowest difficulty and short segments. Increase intensity as your confidence and technique improve.

What you’ll learn

Before you begin

  • A clean, smooth, non‑porous surface (glass, acrylic, glazed tile)
  • Backboard with suction cups and the trainer unit
  • A compatible toy (R+D or your own)
  • A charged trainer
  • Your dashboard account and 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi (for syncing results)
Only mount on smooth, non‑porous surfaces. Test suction before use. Stop immediately if you feel pain or discomfort.

Set up and run your first session

1

Mount the backboard

Choose a smooth surface at a comfortable height. Lightly moisten the suction cups, press firmly, and check that the board is secure.
Suction cups adhere best to clean, non‑textured surfaces. Avoid painted walls or porous materials.
2

Attach the trainer

Align the trainer with the backboard and secure it to the hook‑and‑loop (Velcro) mount. Make sure it cannot wobble or shift.
3

Install a toy

Attach a compatible toy to the trainer. If you use your own, set it as your default in the dashboard later so measurements stay accurate. See Using Different Toys.
4

Power on and note your Trainer ID

Turn the power switch on. During startup, the screen shows your Trainer ID. Write it down—you’ll use it to pair.
If the device is plugged in for charging, unplug it before starting a training session. The trainer won’t begin training while charging to protect the battery.
5

Pair to your dashboard

Open your dashboard, go to Settings → Devices, and enter the Trainer ID to pair.
Done correctly, your device appears under Settings → Devices. If it’s already paired to another account, follow the ownership guidance in the FAQs or contact support.

6

Connect to Wi‑Fi (optional but recommended)

From the pairing page, follow the Wi‑Fi guide to connect the trainer to a 2.4 GHz network. This enables syncing and updates.

7

Choose a training mode and start

Pick a simple template (for example, a short Endurance or Repetition segment) and press the start button on the device. Follow on‑screen prompts and indicators during the segment.
Keep early sessions short (1–3 segments). Focus on steady breathing and consistent pacing.
8

Review your results

After the session, open your dashboard to see grades, points, and leaderboards. Use this feedback to adjust difficulty and templates.
