Account Settings
Manage your account credentials and personal information through the dashboard settings.
Overview
Your account settings allow you to:
Change your email address - Update the email associated with your account
Change your password - Update your account password for better security
Both features are accessible through the Private Details section in your profile settings.
Changing Your Email Address
Step-by-Step Guide
Navigate to Profile Settings
Click on your profile picture in the top-right corner
Select "Profile" from the dropdown menu
You'll see the "Private Details" section
Open Email Change Dialog
In the "Email Address" section, click the "Change Email" button
A dialog box will appear with your current email address
Enter New Email Address
Type your new email address in the "New Email Address" field
Make sure the email is different from your current one
The system will validate the email format automatically
Submit the Change
Click "Update Email" to submit your request
You'll see a loading message while the change is processed
Email Verification Required
After submitting, you'll be automatically logged out
You'll be redirected to a confirmation page
Check your new email inbox for a verification link
Click the verification link to complete the email change
Sign Back In
Once verified, you can sign back in with your new email address
Your old email address will no longer work for login {% endstepper %}
Important Notes
Email Uniqueness: The new email address must not already be in use by another account
Automatic Logout: You'll be logged out immediately after requesting the change for security reasons
Verification Time: The verification link is typically sent within seconds
No Undo: Once verified, you cannot revert to your old email address without going through the change process again
Troubleshooting Email Changes
Didn't receive the verification email?
Check your spam/junk folder
Wait a few minutes and check again
Make sure you entered the correct email address
Contact support if the issue persists
Can't access the new email?
If you made a typo in the email address, you'll need to contact support
The old email address will not work for login after the change
Changing Your Password
Step-by-Step Guide
Navigate to Password Settings
Go to your profile settings (Profile → Private Details)
Click the "Change Password" button in the Password section
You'll be taken to a dedicated password change page
Enter New Password
Type your new password in the "New Password" field
The system will validate your password in real-time
Use the info icon (ℹ️) to see password requirements
Meet Password Requirements
At least 8 characters long
One uppercase letter (A-Z)
One lowercase letter (a-z)
One number (0-9)
One special character (!@#$%^&* etc.)
Submit the Change
Click "Reset Password" to update your password
You'll see a loading message while the change is processed
Upon success, you'll be redirected back to the main dashboard
Sign In with New Password
Your new password is immediately active
Use the new password for all future logins
Update any saved passwords in your browser or password manager {% endstepper %}
Password Security Tips
Immediate Effect: Password changes take effect immediately
No Verification Required: Unlike email changes, password changes don't require email verification
Security: Your old password becomes invalid as soon as the new one is set
Sessions: You may need to sign in again on other devices
Troubleshooting Password Changes
Password not meeting requirements?
Check that all requirements are met (length, case, numbers, special characters)
The system will show specific error messages for each requirement
Try a different combination that meets all criteria
Can't remember your new password?
Use the "Forgot Password" feature on the login page
This will send a password reset link to your email
You can then set a new password through the reset process
