Hiding the Remaining Time

The Chastity Lockbox offers a "Hide Display Time" feature that allows you to experience your lock session without knowing exactly how much time remains. This can add an element of uncertainty and anticipation to your experience.

What Does "Hide Display Time" Do?

When the "Hide Display Time" setting is enabled, the remaining lock time will be completely hidden from view in multiple locations:

• Dashboard Homepage - Your main dashboard will not show the remaining time

• Lockbox Homepage - The lockbox-specific page will not display the time

• Lockbox Activity Table - The activity log will not show remaining time

• Public Voting Table - If voting is enabled, voters will not see the remaining time

• Physical Device Display - The lockbox screen itself will not show the time

• Vote Notifications - When people vote to increase or decrease your time, no time information will be displayed

Note: Even when the display time is hidden, the lock session continues to function normally. The time is still tracking in the background - you just won't see it.

Who Can Enable This Setting?

The "Hide Display Time" setting can be enabled by different people depending on your lock scenario:

Self-Lock Scenario

If you are locking yourself (self-locker), you can enable this setting before starting your lock session.

1. Navigate to your lock template settings

2. Find the "Hide Display Time" option

3. Enable it before initiating your lock session

Navigate to Lock Template Settings

Go to the dashboard and access your lock template settings page.

Find the Display Time Option

Locate the "Hide Display Time" setting within your lock template configuration.

Enable the Setting

Toggle the "Hide Display Time" option to enabled.

For self-lockers, this must be done before starting the lock session. For keyholders, this can be enabled or disabled at any time.

Start or Continue Your Lock

Once enabled, all time displays will be hidden across the dashboard and on your physical device.

Common Questions

Can I re-enable the time display during an active lock?

If you are self-locked, you cannot change this setting during an active session. However, if you have a keyholder, they can toggle this setting on or off at any time during your lock session.

Will my keyholder still see the remaining time?

Yes! Your keyholder (if you have one) will always be able to see the remaining time on their end, even if it's hidden from your view. This allows them to manage your lock session effectively.

What happens if someone votes on my lock?

Voting still works normally - people can still add or remove time from your lock. However, when votes are cast, you won't see any time information displayed in the notification areas. You'll simply know that a vote occurred, but not the specific time impact.

Can I see my lock history after the session ends?

Yes! Once your lock session is complete, you'll be able to see the full history including all time information in your activity log.
