What is E-Lock-20?
E-Lock-20 is an error code that appears when a Lockee uses the emergency unlock feature during an active lock session. This error indicates the device has entered a temporary penalty state and cannot be locked again for 24 hours—or until a Keyholder intervenes. Why does this happen?
The emergency unlock feature exists for situations where immediate release is necessary but normal unlock procedures aren’t possible. While this feature ensures your safety, it includes a built-in consequence to discourage unnecessary use.The 24-hour lockout period helps maintain the integrity of the locking experience while still ensuring emergency access is always available.
What happens when E-Lock-20 is triggered?
When you see the E-Lock-20 error, your Lockbox becomes temporarily unusable for new lock sessions. This is an intentional design feature—not a malfunction. How to resolve E-Lock-20
Your Lockbox isn’t permanently disabled. You have three options to restore normal functionality:1
Dashboard resolution (recommended for paired devices)

- Log into your account
- Submit a reason for your emergency unlock
If your device is connected to WiFi and paired, it will restore to normal use within 5 minutes.
