What’s happening?
Your device attempted to lock but couldn’t confirm that the locking mechanism engaged properly. This error typically occurs when you:- Start a new lock session
- Set a lock timer
- Request locking from the web dashboard
- Attempt to lock the device manually
Why this happens
The device uses three sensors (called TMRs) to verify the locking paddle position. All three sensors must detect the paddle in the locked position to confirm a secure lock. When this error appears, one or more sensors isn’t detecting the locked position correctly. How to fix it
1
Inspect the locking paddle
Check that nothing is obstructing the locking paddle. Gently move the paddle back and forth to ensure it moves freely and isn’t stuck or jammed.
2
Reseat the lid
The device uses two sensors to detect proper lid placement. Remove the lid completely, then place it back on the device—ensuring it seats correctly and sits flush.
3
Attempt to lock again
After checking the paddle and reseating the lid, try locking the device again. The error should clear if the issue was related to positioning.
4
Contact support if the issue persists
If you’ve completed the steps above and still see this error, there may be an issue with the locking mechanism or sensors that requires further assistance.
