How to do an Emergency Unlock

0:00 If for any reason you need access to your key and your device is locked, you can use the software Emergency Unlock. 0:09 If the software Emergency Unlock does not work or is unavailable, there is also a hardware unlock which I will not cover in this video, and you should go find that immediately. 0:19 However, right now, we're going to walk through the process of using the software Emergency Unlock. To do so, you're going to click into a menu on a locked device, and you'll scroll up or down to find the Emergency Unlock button. 0:34 It is possible that your keyholder disabled this in the active session. In that case, please go find the hardware Emergency Unlock video. 0:45 For now, I'm just going to click on this option, which will give me a link. With additional information, giving me an option to back out before I continue. 0:53 I'm just going to complete this Emergency Unlock, which will instantaneously give me access to my key. And it will also prevent my device from being used for 24 hours. 1:05 This is to prevent any mischief or bratting. However, this can be cleared on the dashboard by having your keyholder abandoned. 1:12 And in the Active Session, or sending additional new settings.
