Video Transcript
0:00 If you're in a long-term lock, there's a strong chance that at some point you're going to want to take a break. 0:05 Whether that's for hygiene, or for play, or any reason at all, you can do that on the device, and I'll walk you through that now. 0:13 A quick note, it is a requirement that your keyholder, or if you're self-locking, you, have enabled brakes on your active session. 0:21 I won't show you that in this video, right now I'm going to assume that brakes are enabled. And I'll show you how to initiate a break on your device. 0:28 First, I'll take my locked Chassidy lockbox, and I'll go into the lock menu, and scroll down to take a break. 0:35 If brakes are not enabled, you will not see this option on the menu. I'm going to click it, and I'll see a brief documentation link and a little bit of information about what brakes I'm going to do. 0:47 And if I begin my break by pressing this button, then my device will unlock, and I can extract my key. 0:54 The break duration is set by your keyholder, or yourself locking by you, and you have until this timer runs out to return the key into the box and press the lock button. 1:07 If you miss this timer, so For instance, if your key is out and the timer. Goes from the current time. 1:13 I have 14 minutes left down to zero, then your keyholder will be notified and a permanent failure will be on your account. 1:22 This won't be a problem if you're running the test lock and you can read more about test locks in future documentation. 1:29 For now, I don't want to fail this break, so we're going to assume that I finished whatever I needed to do inside of my break window. 1:35 My 15 minutes. And I've placed my key back in. Close the backplate and I'm going to hit end break in the right. 1:44 This will lock the device. And send a confirmation to the dashboard that your device has been locked and your break has ended. 1:52 That's everything you need to know, alright.
