Public Voting
Public voting is a feature that allows you to share your lock session with others, letting them vote to increase or decrease your remaining lock time. This adds an exciting element of unpredictability and community engagement to your chastity experience.
How to Enable Public Voting
When creating or editing a lock session, you can enable public voting by:
Navigate to your lockbox settings in the dashboard
Enable the "Public Voting" option for your lock session
Configure the time increment/decrement values:
Time Plus: How many seconds are added when someone votes to increase
Time Minus: How many seconds are removed when someone votes to decrease
Sharing Your Public Voting Link
Once public voting is enabled for an active lock session:
Go to your lockbox page in the dashboard
Look for the "Public Voting" badge with a share icon
Click the badge to copy your unique public voting link
Share this link with friends, partners, or your community
Viewing Who Voted on Your Session
You can see all votes on your lock session in two places:
1. Lock Session Summary
On your lockbox page, you'll see vote counter badges next to your lock session details:
Thumbs Up Badge π: Shows the total number of votes to increase your lock time
Thumbs Down Badge π: Shows the total number of votes to decrease your lock time
These badges only appear when:
Public voting is enabled for your session, OR
Your session has received at least one vote
2. Activity History
For a detailed view of all votes:
Navigate to your lockbox page
In the "Session activity" section, you'll see recent events
Click "View more" to open the full activity log
Vote events appear inline with other session activities, showing:
Icon: π for increase votes, π for decrease votes
Action: "Voted to increase time" or "Voted to decrease time"
Voter: The username of the person who voted (or "Anonymous" if they weren't logged in)
Timestamp: How long ago the vote was cast
Vote events are sorted chronologically with other session events like locks, unlocks, and breaks.
Voting Restrictions
To prevent abuse, there are some restrictions on voting:
Each person can only vote once per 24 hours on your session
Votes are tracked by IP address and user account
Privacy and Anonymity
If someone votes while logged in to their account, their username will be visible in your activity history
If someone votes without being logged in, they will appear as "Anonymous" in your activity history
Your public voting link does not reveal your personal information beyond your session details
Points and Rewards
Both you and the voters earn points for participation:
You earn points when people vote on your session
Voters earn points when they vote on sessions
The point value decreases throughout the day as more votes are cast, encouraging early participation
Tips for Using Public Voting
Share your link on social media or community forums for maximum engagement
Consider setting moderate time increments to avoid extreme changes
Check your activity history regularly to see who's supporting (or challenging) you
Remember that votes affect your lock time in real-time, so share responsibly!
Disabling Public Voting
You can disable public voting at any time by:
Going to your lock session settings
Turning off the "Public Voting" option
Your public link will no longer accept new votes (but previous votes remain in your history)
Note: Public voting requires an active lock session. If your session ends or is abandoned, the voting link will become inactive.
